Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child from Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father worked as a teacher and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick began performing and singing at a very young age. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6 which led to a call from talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who inquired whether she wanted to work in show business. McCormick had her first significant role when she got a part in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial before being cast in The Wind It Up And It's Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected from a field of 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three towheaded daughters on the brand new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick revealed how during the fifth season of the TV show she almost lost the love of her life to her twin brother Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was 16. The two of us could have been in a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't the right time.
